First project meeting

On 22 and 23 January 2013 the first project meeting of the Central Markets project took place in Pécs (HU).

The meeting was hosted and organised by Pécs Urban Development Company in the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter.  The scheduled agenda included a workshop and the second Steering committee meeting. The 2-day meeting was very fruitful for the quality of work carried out by the CENTRAL MARKETS partnership. After some brief introductory presentations given by the LP on the state of the art of the project, all PPs presented their local activities focusing in particular on their pilot projects. Following partners' contributions, a workshop on WP3 (Improving Knowledge on markets in Central Europe) was organised by the Conservatory of the Mediterranean Food  in order to present and discuss with the partnership the elaboration of the Draft common transnational Strategy and provide partners with technical support to carry along further project activities.

The second day of the meeting Pécs Urban Development Company organized a guided tour of the tradtional Market where all participants where offered a taste of Hungarian typical market breakfast.

After the market visit the meeting continued at Pécs Urban Development Company's conference hall with a presentation given by the LP on financial management and reporting activities. A fruitful Steering Committee ended the meeting.
